urbanMetrics is a boutique consulting firm based in downtown Toronto.  We provide customized market research and forward-thinking business solutions to clients across the real estate, planning and municipal development sector.  We are looking for an individual with relentless energy, a passion for data and a mindset for growth. As a Consultant you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and unique consulting assignments including project feasibility analysis, highest and best use studies, municipal finance, economic impact analysis, property repositioning strategies, consumer and market research, stakeholder outreach and policy analysis.


As a member of the consulting team, you will have the skills, experience and acumen to deliver:


  • Quantitative research and business analysis using a variety of methodologies and data sets
  • Qualitative research that includes best practices, stakeholder interview and literature review
  • Bespoke reporting materials that are accurate, persuasive and crisp


The Ideal Candidate


  • 3 – 5 years of experience in the municipal development industry
  • Graduate-level degree with a research focus on real estate development, finance, economics or planning
  • Superior research, analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly quantitative research skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis, statistics, pro forma analysis and geo-spatial research
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Strong verbal, written and visual communicator
  • Highly adept at Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Capable of producing data visualizations and infographics
  • Strong leadership qualities, interpersonal skills and positive attitude
  • An exemplary record of achievement in academics, community building or extracurricular activity
  • Ability to work efficiently on complex projects while manage competing deadlines
  • A valid driver’s licence to conduct field work
