About the project
urbanMetrics was retained by Dov Capital Corporation to provide expert witness testimony at the Ontario Land Tribunal Hearing in relation to a mix use housing development comprised of 4 mid-rise rental buildings, including a retirement home. The subject lands, 8 Oak Street, in the City of Toronto’s west-end were formerly used for industrial (employment) purposes. City of Toronto planning staff had earlier refused this application on the grounds that it would impact the planned function of legacy employment area in the area, and specifically an existing manufacturing facility located next to the site. urbanMetrics provided expert testimony that the development application is a suitable use which could be integrated into the neighbourhood without negative economic consequences.
