About the project
urbanMetrics was retained by the Perth County in southwestern Ontario to prepare a five-year strategy to direct and prioritize economic development and destination-based marketing efforts.
urbanMetrics undertook a comprehensive engagement process with local companies, farmers, tourism operators, educators, elected officials and regional economic/tourism development partners to establish an action plan for the County’s economic development division.
The plan establishes 40 concrete actions to support business growth and economic development. The actions are predicated on five priority areas including affordable housing, brand development, workforce planning, mobility and investment attraction.
