Strategic Real Estate Review, City of St Catharines
About the project
urbanMetrics was retained by the City of St. Catharines to carry out a strategic review of city-owned real estate assets. The review provided an evaluation of go-forward options for the City, including the creation of a new municipal development corporation (‘MDC’) to expedite and maximize the value uplift from various assets, including development-ready waterfront, downtown and brownfield assets controlled by the City. The project identified how municipal lands could be used more effectively to support key policy objectives such as affordable housing, tourism and economic growth.
