About the project
urbanMetrics was retained by Overactive Media Group to prepare an economic impact statement for a state-of-the-art spectator venue for esports and life performances on the Exhibition Grounds in central Toronto. The venue will support upwards of 7,000 seats and will be accompanied by a 400-room hotel and conference facility.
urbanMetrics’ mandate included a full evaluation of the economic benefits that would reasonably material as a result of the project calculated at the local (Toronto), provincial (Ontario) and national (Canada) levels. Our impact statement provides order of magnitude estimates of employment, direct and indirect expenditures and tax generation in connection to both the construction and annual operating of the venue and accompanying hotel.
