About the project
urbanMetrics has carried out reviews of development charges background studies on behalf of developers and landowners in municipalities across southern Ontario. The purpose of these reviews was to ensure that the development charges calculated by municipalities are consistent with legislation prepared by the Province of Ontario. In many instances where we have found consequential errors in the calculation of development charges. Our team of analysts work directly with homebuilders and commercial property interests to provide critical analysis and expert testimony before tribunals such as the Ontario Land Tribunal (formerly known as, the OMB and LPAT).
