About the project
urbanMetrics was retained by Oxford Properties and the Alberta Treasury Board – the co-owners of Yorkdale Shopping Centre – to undertake an independent retail market demand study in support of an expansion of its flagship Canadian Shopping Centre.
We carried out extensive consumer market research addressing expenditure and cannibalization patterns across a variety of retail and food services categories, ultimately recommending that the expansion would be supportable from a market demand and tenancy perspective.
