Amacon – Development Charge Review
About the project
On behalf of one of the largest high density developers in the Mississauga City Centre, urbanMetrics undertook a review of the City’s 2009 Development Charges By-law. The review led to an Ontario Municipal Board hearing and ultimately a settlement between the City and the landowner. Many of the issues addressed changing municipal servicing needs as a result of intensification and how to reasonably measure them through the requirements of the Development Charges Act and Regulations. Following the conclusion of the 2009 development charges review, urbanMetrics is currently assisting in the review of the 2014 Mississauga Development Charges By-law.
