About the project

Freed Development retained UrbanMetrics to undertake a Commercial Market Study, for the proposed expansion of The Blue Mountain Village. This study provided valuable insights into the future opportunity for this project including an assessment of market demand, population trends, and the potential impact on existing local businesses, particularly those located in Thornbury.



The study found that the current and expected future population in the area, and visitor potential will support the expansion of Blue Mountain Village with a growing demand for retail space, commercial services, and residential units within the village. The commercial facilities in Blue Mountain Village had no vacancy, indicating a significant demand without oversaturating the market.



Our Commercial Market Study concluded that there would be no long-term negative impact on other local businesses.
