Canada Student Housing – Student Housing Demand Analysis
About the project
On behalf of Canada Student Housing (CSH), urbanMetrics was retained to undertake a market feasibility study to examine the estimated supply of, and demand for, off-campus student accommodation near the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) and the Durham College Campus, located near Simcoe Street North and Conlin Road in Oshawa (the north Oshawa campus).
The study considered changes in enrollment in the context of housing composition and rental options in the vicinity of the UOIT Campus.
The purpose of this report was to determine if there was sufficient student demand to support the 452 student bedrooms being proposed for the first phase of CSH’s project.
