About the project
We were retained by the City of Barrie to undertake a major retail market demand and impact study for the 1.2 million square foot lifestyle centre proposed for the northeast intersection of Mapleview Drive and Highway 400. The main issues to be addressed were the potential impact on the existing retail structure of the City and in particular the City’s Downtown core. The results of our study were successfully presented as evidence at the Ontario Municipal Board where the project was approved.
