About the project
urbanMetrics was retained by Loyalist Township to undertake a full review of municipal recreation programs and facilities in the face of a rapidly changing landscape brought about by population growth, shifting demographic patterns, and urgent needs to address aging community facilities. Working with directly with members of the recreation team, and the community at-large, urbanMetrics evaluated the Township’s recreation-based programs, as well as policies and procedures in the context of emerging best practices in Canada, including the national Framework for Recreation in Canada.
The Recreation Service Delivery Review was endorsed and approved by Loyalist Township Council in the fall of 2022.
