About the project
As all levels of government invest heavily in public transit, there is greater emphasis on directing growth to areas that are within walking distance to this important infrastructure. As part of Peel Region’s Municipal Comprehensive Review, urbanMetrics was retained as part of a multi-disciplinary team to prepare the framework to guide growth within the 90+ Major Transit Station Areas across Peel Region. Our role in this engagement was to assess the market opportunity for residential and non-residential uses within each of the Major Transit Station Areas, as well as the ultimate capacity that could be developed within the planning horizon.
