Mattamy Homes – Development Charge Review
About the project
On behalf of one of the Mattamy Homes, urbanMetrics undertook a review of the City of Ottawa’s 2009 Development Charges By-law. The review lead to an Ontario Municipal Board hearing and ultimately a settlement between the City and the landowner. Many of the issues involved differing servicing needs between the urban, suburban and rural parts of the amalgamated City. In related work, urbanMetrics undertook a review of the Education Development Charges imposed by the four Ottawa Region school boards and provided evidence at the Ontario Municipal Board.
