Congratulations!
We’re proud to celebrate Hartley Rogers, who received Yorkville University’s Best Creative Project Award for her exceptional interior design thesis—recognizing excellence in creative research and design application through all project phases.
Her thesis, “Beyond the Visual in Medical Aesthetics: Interior Design as a Tool to Achieve ESG Targets,” explored how design can address industry challenges such as high carbon footprints and limited inclusivity. The project called “Epicentre” envisioned an inclusive, environmentally compatible medical aesthetics clinic and training facility—establishing a gender-neutral, body-positive atmosphere that fosters psychological safety, with circular design principles guiding material procurement and program development.
The award, presented in September 2025, highlights Hartley’s dedication to advancing socially responsive and conceptually rich design practice. At urbanMetrics, we’re thrilled to see our team members pushing the boundaries of design thinking and contributing to the evolution of the built environment.

In May, 2025, Sarnia City Council voted to adopt the Master Plan prepared by urbanMetrics, which involved extensive consultation with City, business, resident, institutional and other community stakeholders.
