About the project
In support of an expropriation matter, urbanMetrics prepared market evidence with regards to the development potential of lands in the western portion of the City of Waterloo. The expropriation involved the taking of lands required for the construction of Ira Needles Boulevard. As a result of the expropriation, the subject property was divided resulting in two distinct land use designations. The issue surrounded the highest and best use if the expropriation did not occur and the parcel was left intact. urbanMetrics role was to provide market evidence to assist in the appraisal of the property.
