SmartREIT – Whitchurch-Stouffville Development Charge Review
About the project
On behalf of one of the largest shopping centre developers in Ontario, urbanMetrics undertook a review of the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville’s 2009 Development Charges By-law. The review led to an Ontario Municipal Board hearing and ultimately a settlement between the Town and the developer. The issues dealt with the share of municipal servicing costs appropriately apportioned to the retail sector based on the requirements of growth.
