Town of Newmarket – Downtown Action Plan
About the project
On behalf of the Town of Newmarket, urbanMetrics was retained to prepare a downtown action plan designed to stimulate additional economic and business activity in the Town’s historic Main Street.
Working in conjunction with the Main St Newmarket BIA, urbanMetrics prepared an evaluation of the current conditions in the area, and identified potential actions for merchants, institutions and the Town to undertake to help provide additional vitality to the area.
Our study involved extensive engagement of stakeholders including interviews, on-line surveys and workshops with the public. Using social media and other channels, we developed an action plan based on the shared priorities of merchants and local area residents.
