VMC Commercial Land Use Assessment
About the project
Working in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary consulting team led by Gladki Planning Associates, urbanMetrics prepared a Commercial Use Assessment as part of the City of Vaughan’s broader Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) Secondary Plan Review. The purpose of our role for this engagement has been to assess the existing and potential future commercial landscape at the VMC—both with respect to retail/service commercial and major office-type uses—in support of the ultimate determination of the optimum type, scale and location of commercial facilities throughout the Secondary Plan as it continues to grow and mature into a vibrant new mixed-use node.
